Environment.Version() sta dando la risposta corretta per una domanda diversa. La stessa versione di CLR è utilizzata in .NET 2.0, 3 e 3.5. Suppongo che potresti controllare il GAC per le librerie che sono state aggiunte in ognuna di quelle versioni successive.

Un metodo alternativo in cui non è necessario il diritto di accedere al registro è quello di verificare l’esistenza di classi introdotte in specifici aggiornamenti del framework.

Non è più facile determinare il numero di versione .NET corrente. L'unica cosa che deve essere mantenuta nel tempo è il numero di build una volta che esce una versione .NET superiore a 4.7.1 - che può essere fatto facilmente modificando la funzione CheckFor45PlusVersion , è necessario conoscere la chiave di rilascio per la nuova versione quindi puoi aggiungerlo. Per esempio:
